Kilty B’s Shutout Panthers

The Hamilton Kilty B’s defeated the Pelham Panthers 3-0 on the road on Sunday night.

Jack McAra scored his first goal of the season to give Hamilton a one to nothing lead in the first period. McAra circled around the net and scored, also giving Kyle Burton his first point of the season in his first game.

One minute and thirty seconds later, Marquise Brown passed it from deep in his own zone up to Dawson McKinney who dished it to Torin Hession through the middle.  Hession flipped a backhand pass over to the red-hot Noah Vandenbrink who buried his thirteenth goal.

The B’s had twelve penalties called against them in the game, including calls for head contact, roughing, cross-checking, tripping, goalie interference, leaving the crease and a few other unruly penalties, but they were able to kill off all eight man advantages.

In the second period, Justin Monteith dumped the puck off the end boards to Dawson McKinney who skillfully passed it to Torin Hession for the 3-0 dagger.

Leland Gill saved all twenty-two shots he faced for his sixth shutout of the season.

Hamilton has beaten Pelham in all five meetings this season by an accumulative score of 25-3.

The Kilty B’s play their next game on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023 against the Niagara Falls Canucks at 7 p.m. at the Gale Centre.
