Hamilton top Falcons 5-2 at home

HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Kilty Bs defeated the St. Catharines Falcons by the score of 5-2 Saturday night at the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.

Seven minutes into the opening period, Connor Haynes setup Dylan Abbamont who slid it under the bar for his fourth goal of the season. Less than three minutes later, Abbamont would return the favour and find Haynes who beat St. Catharines starter Andrew MacLean for his first goal of the season.

The lone goal in the second period came with 8:28 left, as Abbamont registered his third point of the night. Matheson Mason and Colin MacDougall added the assists.

Hamilton took a 4-0 lead with just over eight minutes left in the game, as captain Nolan Underwood setup Liam Galton who buried home the one-timer for his third goal of the campaign.

St. Catharines answered back with back-to-back power play markers from Kyle Glenney to make it 4-2. Jonah Boria finished with two assists for the Falcons.

In goal, Hamilton starter Braedyn McIntosh recorded 27 saves for his second win of the season. MacLean registered 30 saves in the loss.

The Kilty Bs next home game is Thursday, October 14th at 7pm when they host the Caledonia Corvairs at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
