Kilty B’s win seventh straight

The Hamilton Kilty B’s defeated the Pelham Panthers 7-2 on Monday night at the Accipiter Arena.

Gabriel Longo got the win in net for Hamilton, stopping 26 of the 28 shots he faced.

Dawson McKinney racked up four assists in the game, setting up a goal in the first, second, and two in the third. All seven goals for the Kilty B’s were scored by different players, including Lucas Kisil’s first career junior goal.

Kisil took a hard hit but raised home a rebound over a scrambling Pelham goaltender for his first, as his teammates grabbed the puck for him.

The B’s out-shot the Panthers 47 to 28 in the contest with both teams also committing over 30 minutes in penalties.

In the third period, Hamilton scored four consecutive goals to put the game out of reach and extend their win streak. The B’s have gone 14 straight games without losing in regulation, going 12-0-2.

Hamilton has two remaining regular season games; one against the Caledonia Pro-Fit Corvairs at home, and one on the road in Fort Erie.

The B’s are making a really strong push for the one seed with seven straight wins, but still sit two points back of St. Catharines. Both teams have two games remaining and both teams have the best records in the entire GOJHL.
