Four goal third leads Kilty Bs over Caledon 6-2

CALEDON, ON – The Hamilton Kilty Bs (4-2 pre-season) defeated the Caledon Bombers by the score of 6-2 in pre-season action Sunday night at Mayfield Recreation Complex.

Hamilton trailed 2-0 after one period, before answering with six straight goals, including four in the third period, for their fourth win of the pre-season.

“Tonight really showed that our team has the ability to battle through adversity,” said newly named head coach CJ Morrison.

Caledon got on the board first, 7:09 into the opening period, as Nolan Milne setup Wyatt Kerr for the powerplay marker and his second goal of the pre-season.

With five minutes left in the first period, the Bombers would make it 2-0 on a goal from Jayden Seguin.

The Kilty Bs would make it a one goal game 6:30 into the second period, as Alex Koschanow setup Logan Mills for his first is the night.

Hamilton would tie the game 2-2 with 5:19 remaining in the second period as Mills collected his second goal of the contest. Jeremy Pasma with the lone assist.

In the third period it was all Kilty Bs as they answered with four straight goals.

Midway through the second, Josh Hampel and Stephen Campbell setup Connor Haynes with his second goal of the pre-season.

Just over two minutes later, Liam Galton would record his fifth goal of the pre-season with Matt Duarte and Colin MacDougall adding assists.

Luke Johnston would make it 5-2 with 7:32 left with Haynes adding the assist.

Nate Tivey closed out the scoring for the Kilty Bs with a powerplay marker at 4:44. Duarte and MacDougall added the assists.

In goal, Braedyn McIntosh recorded the victory.

The Kilty Bs next home game is Monday, Sept. 20 at 7pm when they host the Kitchener Waterloo Siskins at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
