Hamilton blanks Siskins 4-0 to end pre-season

HAMILTON, ON – The Hamilton Kilty Bs ended the pre-season with a 4-0 victory over the Kitchener Waterloo Siskins Monday night at the Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.

The Kilty Bs finish with a 5-2 pre-season record.

Two minutes into the first period, Matt Duarte would collect his third goal of the pre-season to give the Kilty Bs a 1-0 lead.

Luke Johnston would make it 2-0 Hamilton as he beat Siskins netminder Dylan Grover 7:57 into the second period. Adam Clark added the assist.

The Kilty Bs would add another goal with less than four minutes left in the second period, as Justin Monteith and Sam Shakes setup Nolan Underwood for his fourth goal of the pre-season.

Connor Haynes closed out the Hamilton scoring midway through the third period. Underwood and Monteith added the assists.

In goal, Gage Stewart turned aside all 29 shots he faced for the shutout victory. Grover finished with 39 saves in the loss for KW.

Hamilton will open the 2021-22 GOJHL regular season on the road this Friday September 24th at 7:15pm when they travel to Niagara to take on the Pelham Panthers at the Meridian Community Centre.

The Kilty Bs next home game is Monday, October 4th at 7pm when they host the Niagara Falls Canucks in their GOJHL regular season homeopener at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
