Hamilton downs Falcons 2-0 on the road

ST. CATHARINES, ON – The Hamilton Kilty Bs improved to 2-0 in GOJHL regular season action as they defeated the St. Catharines Falcons by the score of 2-0 Friday night at Jack Gatecliffe Arena.

After two scoreless periods, Hamilton’s Stephen Campbell made it 1-0, 3:19 into the third period, as he beat Falcons netminder Andrew MacLean for his first goal of the season. Brodie McIntyre and Andrew Lukezic added the assists.

With just 45 seconds left in regulation, Kilty Bs forward Sam Shakes would add an insurance marker with an empty netter to make it 2-0.

In goal, Gage Stewart recorded 21 saves for his second shutout of the season. In two games, Stewart is 2-0 with a 1.000 SV% turning aside all 43 shots he has faced. MacLean registered 38 saves in the loss.

Hamilton will be on the road October 2nd against the Thorold Blackhawks at 7pm at Thorold Arena.

The Kilty Bs next home game is Monday, October 4th at 7pm when they host the Niagara Falls Canucks in their GOJHL regular season homeopener at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.
